We are seeking a skilled Senior Linux Automation Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and operation of automated patch, vulnerability, and configuration compliance frameworks across Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) endpoints.
Key Responsibilities:- Patch Management Automation
- Design and implement automated patch remediation for RHEL 7/8/9 systems.
- Develop and maintain scripts (Bash, Python, YAML) for compliance enforcement.
- Schedule and deploy OS and application patches in a staged and controlled manner.
- Integrate patch management with enterprise dashboards and reporting tools.
- Develop automated remediation playbooks for CVEs and STIG/CIS benchmarks.
- Systems Integration & Compliance
- Integrate with enterprise tools: SIEM, ITSM, LDAP, PIM/PAM, Red Hat IPA/Satellite.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Generate audit-ready reports and dashboards for patch status and vulnerability closure.
- Monitoring & Incident Response
- Real-time monitoring of patch management systems for uptime and performance.
- Troubleshoot issues and ensure minimal disruption during remediation cycles.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Documentation & Training
- Maintain detailed SOPs, deployment guides, and compliance documentation.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to staff.
- Support VAPT closure and statutory compliance reporting.
