Backend Engineer - Blockchain Data Expert

We're seeking a skilled Backend Developer with experience in Go or Rust to drive our blockchain data transformation. As a key member, you'll play a pivotal role in extracting raw on-chain data and implementing actionable insights through smart contract event decoding and pricing logic from decentralized exchanges (DEXs).

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the protocol level, understands DeFi mechanics, and can build robust data pipelines that power real-time pricing engines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing event decoders for major DeFi protocols, including Uniswap, Curve, and Balancer.
  • Building and maintaining data extractors that convert on-chain events into structured trade data.
  • Implementing logic to calculate trade prices, including handling swap routing, liquidity pool math, and price inference.
  • Collaborating with data and infra teams to build efficient and scalable data ingestion pipelines.
  • Optimizing performance and accuracy of pricing models, including TWAP, oracle logic, and tick-based price resolution.
  • Writing clean, well-tested, and efficient backend code in Go or Rust.

Requirements:

  • 2–5+ years of backend development experience in Go or Rust.
  • A strong understanding of Ethereum smart contract ABI decoding and event logs.
  • Experience working with DeFi protocols, especially AMM math concepts: constant product formulas, Uniswap V3 ticks, and TWAP/oracle logic.
  • Familiarity with EVM-based chains and Ethereum node infrastructure, including Geth, Erigon, and RPC APIs.
  • Experience building data extraction or indexing tools, such as subgraphs and custom indexers.
  • The ability to work independently and own complex backend systems from design to deployment.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working directly with blockchain nodes or building custom RPC-based services.
  • Familiarity with price oracles and on-chain data feeds.
  • Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud infrastructure, including AWS and GCP.
  • Contributions to DeFi or crypto open-source projects.
