Data Engineer Job Description

As a senior data engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing large-scale data pipelines using cloud-based technologies. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of data engineering solutions into larger cloud-based systems.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in cloud technologies, proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks, scripting, and automation. Strong command of distributed data processing frameworks, workflow management tools like Apache Airflow, and cloud-native services for data processing, storage, and analytics is required.

Additionally, the successful candidate will have extensive experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), data modeling principles, and version control systems (e.g., Git). Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes) is also essential.

This role involves continuous optimization of data processes for improved performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness in a cloud environment. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
