As a specialist in plumbing and firefighting systems, you will be responsible for creating concept designs, schematic designs, design development, and construction designs that meet the client's requirements.
The ideal candidate will have 10-25 years of experience in this field and possess excellent communication and collaboration skills. They will work closely with the electrical, mechanical, architect, and structure teams to ensure that the MEP system meets the client's needs.
- Produce concept design, design schematic, design development, and construction design of plumbing and fire fighting systems as per the architect's layout, client requirements, and specifications.
- Prepare tender drawings of plumbing and firefighting systems, including waste, soil, and rainwater, sprinkler, hose reel, and fire extinguisher systems.
- Provide calculated notes as required.
- Prepare shop drawings for submission and resubmission, including plumbing and fire fighting system drawings.
- Select and prepare materials for submission.
- Contact suppliers to request quotations and technical documents as needed.
- Take off BOQ of firefighting and plumbing systems, including sprinkler heads, pipes, sanitary fixture units, and other components.
- Prepare information regarding design, structure specifications, materials, equipment, estimated costs, and construction times.
- Consult with consultants to determine the function and spatial requirements of MEP systems.
- Coordinate closely with electrical, mechanical, architect, and structure teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Direct activities of workers engaged in preparing drawing and specification documents.
- Plan the layout of projects.
- Prepare scale drawings and collaborate with supervisors to prepare technical reports and installation instructions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Prepare project schedules, designs, and constructions.
- Prepare progress reports, daily reports, weekly reports, and monthly reports.
- Prepare material lists and costing for bidding.
