Job Summary:

 

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our CI/CD pipelines for application deployment across Kubernetes and hybrid environments.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in building and managing infrastructure automation pipelines using Chef, Terraform, and Ansible, as well as automating provisioning of Rancher and Kubernetes clusters across on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Strong disaster recovery (DR) automation strategies skills, including data replication between on-prem and cloud environments, are required.
  • Experience with deploying and managing shared infrastructure services, such as S3/Object Storage, Kafka, PostgreSQL/EDB, Redis, DNS, Artifactory, Jenkins, Vault, and Splunk, is essential.
  • The successful candidate will also have experience configuring and managing Kubernetes clusters, including RKE2, Helm, Calico CNI, CSI plug-ins, and Backup solutions.
  • A strong collaboration with DevOps/SRE teams to integrate observability tools, such as Prometheus, LogicMonitor, Splunk, and SignalFX, is necessary.
  • Driving cloud infrastructure modernization, virtualization, and datacenter failover solutions, while continuously enhancing DevOps practices focusing on automation, scalability, and reliability, is key.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expert-level Chef experience, with knowledge of cookbooks, recipes, test-driven infrastructure, and CI/CD integration.
  • Proven expertise in CI/CD toolchains, including Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, Harness, and SonarQube.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including Rancher, Helm, and RKE2 clusters.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform Enterprise, Ansible, and Chef.
  • Experience managing hybrid cloud & on-prem infrastructures, with a focus on scalability and reliability.
  • S3/object storage setup & replication, including AWS S3, Cloudian, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Kafka replication between on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Solid scripting skills, with expertise in Python, Bash, or equivalent.
  • Monitoring/Logging: Splunk, LogicMonitor, Prometheus.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for streaming applications, including Apache Flink and Spark.
  • Experience with VMware environments for hybrid datacenter operations.
  • Exposure to multi-cloud operations, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Familiarity with message brokers, including RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, and Kinesis.
