The job role of SAP BODS Technical Associate involves designing, developing, and implementing data integration solutions using SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) for efficient data management and governance.

This position focuses on facilitating data movement and transformation across various systems to support business operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data extraction, transformation, and load processes in SAP BODS to support large-scale data migration projects.
  • Analyze and understand source systems and target systems to create accurate data mappings and transformation rules.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure high-quality data management and governance throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Create, optimize, and maintain ETL jobs in SAP BODS for efficient performance and accuracy.
  • Implement robust error handling and logging mechanisms in the ETL process to minimize system downtime.
  • Monitor and fine-tune SAP BODS jobs for optimal performance and efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and database management principles.
  • Strong expertise in SAP BODS development, including job creation, dataflows, workflows, and scheduling.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and working with various databases (e.g., SAP HANA, Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Knowledge of SAP landscape and data structures, including SAP modules like SD, MM, FICO.
  • Experience with data profiling, cleansing, and transformation techniques.
