We are seeking a highly skilled Piping Design Engineer to join our team in Chennai. As a key member of our design group, you will be responsible for evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria to design and draft piping layouts, study drawings, and detailed 3D design models.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and select standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria to design and draft piping layouts, study drawings, and detailed 3D design models.
- Directly perform the work of designers and drafters of a design group for a business line technology, including the preparation of layouts, study drawings, detailed 3D design models, and 2D construction drawings.
- Prepare design and drafting procedures to standardize design effort.
- Coordinate or make jobsite visits, as required, to resolve problems and interpret drawings and documents.
- Review or define engineering scope changes, as required, for project management.
- Endorse or prepare reports of work progress, as required, for project and discipline use.
- Support the creation of a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.
- A recognized diploma/course in an engineering or scientific discipline, with extensive experience in piping layout design and drafting.
- Minimum of 13+ years of working as a Piping Designer. Experience of working on OG&C, Semiconductor, Data Center, or Power projects will be an additional advantage.
- Knowledge of the application of engineering and construction materials related to the discipline's design responsibilities.
- Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, design criteria, and codes relevant to the discipline.
- Knowledge of discipline Design Guides, mathematical formulae, and design calculations used in the discipline.
- Knowledge of 3D/2D tools, as applicable to the specific discipline work. Working experience on SP3D is mandatory.
