The Database Administrator (DBA) role at Cashpor Micro Credit involves managing MongoDB and RDBMS environments to ensure high availability, performance optimization, and disaster recovery. This includes designing efficient database solutions, troubleshooting issues, ensuring security and compliance, and collaborating with development and IT teams.
Responsibilities include:
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining MongoDB environments
- Monitoring database performance, implementing tuning strategies, and managing storage systems to optimize resource utilization
- Using replication, mirroring, and log-shipping to migrate data across servers
- Managing database backup, transactional log backups, and recovery, as well as disaster recovery planning
Additionally, the DBA will be responsible for designing and optimizing database solutions, including schema design and data modeling to meet application requirements. They will also use monitoring tools to track database health, performance, and availability, investigate and resolve database issues, and proactively monitor SQL Server health.
To be successful in this role, candidates should have a strong background in database administration, with experience in MS SQL Server RDBMS and NO SQL like MongoDB. A minimum of 8 years of experience in a DBA profile, with 6+ years of experience in MS SQL Server RDBMS and 3+ years of experience in NO SQL like MongoDB, is required. Additionally, experience with Azure, AWS, and other cloud platforms, as well as knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization, is desirable.
The estimated salary for this role is ₹15,00,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location. We offer a competitive compensation package, including benefits and opportunities for growth and professional development.
