Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team.

This is a full-time, on-site role that involves preparing general layout (GA) drawings for process equipment, creating Bills of Materials (BOMs), and drawing revisions as per manufacturing and customer feedback.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CAD tools such as Auto-CAD and Solid Edge, and be able to create 2D and 3D models of process equipment.

In addition, the successful candidate will work effectively with cross-functional teams, including project managers and manufacturing personnel, to ensure smooth project execution.

The selected individual will have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of General Layout (GA) Drawings: Create detailed GA drawings for process equipment, considering factors such as material selection, equipment specifications, and manufacturing processes.
  • Bills of Materials (BOMs): Develop accurate and comprehensive BOMs for procurement and fabrication purposes.
  • Drawing Revisions: Revise drawings based on manufacturing and customer feedback, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • 2D and 3D Modeling: Create precise 2D and 3D models of process equipment using CAD tools, facilitating design iteration and optimization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, manufacturing personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.

Requirements:

  • CAD Experience: Hands-on experience with software such as Auto-CAD and Solid Edge.
  • Design Skills: Ability to create detailed drawings, models, and presentations.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Good understanding of manufacturing processes, including laser cutting, bending, welding, and basic machining.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify design issues and propose solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP Experience: Working knowledge of SAP system.
  • GA Layout Experience: Experience in making GA layouts will be an added advantage.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with technical documentation and drawing presentation.
