Job Title: Security Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join our team at TASC Outsourcing. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security measures to protect our IT systems, networks, and data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and manage security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and antivirus software.
  • Monitor security logs and alerts to detect and respond to potential threats.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security risks.
  • Apply security patches and updates to systems and applications to mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with development and IT teams to ensure secure configurations and deployments.
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures.
  • Investigate security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide timely and effective responses to security breaches and other security-related issues.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Conduct security audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls.
  • Educate employees on security best practices and promote a culture of security awareness.
  • Conduct security training sessions and create educational materials to help prevent security incidents caused by human error.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, development, and operations, to integrate security into all aspects of the organization.
  • Provide regular reports on the security status of the organization's systems and data.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve the organization's security posture.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in security engineering, cybersecurity, or information security.
  • Proven experience in managing and securing IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and applications.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
  • Proficiency with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), and antivirus software.
  • Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud security practices and tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP security).
