Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist

Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations across multiple international offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Compliance:
    • Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable standards.
    • Assist in timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Coordinate with external auditors to support audit requirements across regions.
    • Ensure compliance with global tax laws, transfer pricing, and intercompany transactions.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
    • Participate in global budgeting process and consolidate financial data across regions.
    • Monitor financial performance metrics including cash flow, profitability, and budget variances.
    • Provide support for financial forecasting and scenario analysis.
  • Cash Management & Treasury:
    • Manage global cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity.
    • Optimize working capital and streamline fund transfers across international entities.
    • Monitor foreign exchange exposures and support hedging strategies.
  • Multicurrency Book Management:
    • Maintain accurate accounting records for transactions involving multiple currencies across global entities.
    • Ensure compliance with currency conversion policies, FX rate applications, and related accounting treatment.
    • Reconcile currency gains/losses and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Process Improvement & Systems Management:
    • Identify and implement improvements in financial processes to drive global consistency and efficiency.
    • Adhere to internal controls and financial policies across regions.
    • Support ERP and financial system integrations and upgrades.
  • Leadership & Team Support:
    • Collaborate with global finance teams to ensure consistency in financial practices and reporting.
    • Mentor and guide junior finance team members.
    • Liaise between regional teams and senior leadership on financial matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting field. CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • 6–10 years of relevant finance or accounting experience in a multinational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and international taxation.
  • Experience with multi-currency accounting and foreign exchange management.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
