IT Infrastructure Specialist

This is a key role within our organization, responsible for providing IT support for multiple applications and interfaces across both on-prem and cloud environments. The successful candidate will be able to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, as well as identify and document workarounds where necessary.

The individual in this position will also ensure that service requests are actioned according to established service levels and performance targets. They will be responsible for managing and providing technical support to core business application environments, ensuring 24x7 availability at all times.

We are driving an automation-first culture, with a focus on developing CI & CD pipelines. This means that the ideal candidate will have experience with automation tools and be able to develop efficient processes and tooling to reduce cycle times and improve reliability, audit, and traceability across multiple applications.

In addition to operational management, the person in this role will be responsible for ensuring that production environments are protected by governance, good practice/process, design, and 'fit for purpose' environments. This includes packaging project and change releases to the right quality, repeatable between environments without change or modification and deploying to target environments.

We value a culture of continual improvement, addressing weak points in Process, Technology, and Service through effective leadership and resource allocation. Software and processes are correctly documented to ensure single points of knowledge do not become a problem and skills are distributed across the team and department.

The role requires excellent people leadership skills, including providing skilled resources suited to delivery, managing a team of Test Environment Engineers & Middleware specialists and supporting environment management on non-prod environments.

We are committed to delivering high-quality services, meeting SLAs (Environment Availability, Responsiveness to Requests etc) and achieving a high percentage of Releases/Deployments to Production without issue.
