Procurement Manager - Solar Equipment and Services

Job Description

As a Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic sourcing of solar equipment and services. Your responsibilities will include identifying suitable vendors, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Solar Equipment Sourcing: Identify and procure high-quality solar equipment and consumables essential for plant functionality (modules, panels, inverters, trackers, etc.)
  • Service Provider Identification and Management: Identify and manage service providers specialized in solar plant operations and maintenance (O&M), including appointment of vendors for tasks such as regular cleaning, inspection, repair, and technical support
  • Negotiations and Contract Management: Develop cost-effective procurement strategies, conduct internal costing assessments, negotiate competitive prices, and ensure optimal terms and conditions in favor of the company
  • Vendor Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers to ensure reliable procurement channels and consistent quality
  • Cost Optimization: Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to reduce procurement costs and improve efficiency
Requirements:
  • Experience: 7-9 years of experience in strategic sourcing of supply and services (Renewables - O&M)
  • Negotiations and End-to-End Procurement: Experience in negotiations and end-to-end procurement processes
  • Working Knowledge of SAP and Maximo: Working knowledge of SAP and Maximo

Market analysis, tendering, bidding, and cost estimation are crucial aspects of this role.
