Key Data Architect Role

Job Title: Key Data Architect

We are seeking an expert data architect to design, develop, and govern our enterprise data architecture and pipelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and robust data architectures for data warehousing and enterprise platforms using tools such as Big Query and Data Proc technologies.
  • Develop and optimize data pipelines and ETL/ELT/CDC workflows using Fivetran and Cloud Composer.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and stakeholders to define data requirements and create logical data models.
  • Manage database systems including BigQuery, SAP HANA, and PostgreSQL.
  • Evaluate data quality, integrity, and security across all platforms and pipelines.
  • Work closely with AI teams to design serving layers and feature stores that support Vertex AI workloads.
  • Design reporting frameworks and data marts to support business intelligence needs.
  • Integrate data platforms with enterprise systems and third-party APIs.
  • Contribute to the full data lifecycle: requirements gathering, architecture, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data platform issues to ensure high availability.
  • Document technical designs and architecture for cross-functional reference.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science.
  • Proficiency in backend languages/frameworks like Python or Go.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and designing microservices.
  • Solid grasp of data modeling fundamentals including Kimball methodologies.
  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries and experience with SQL databases.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for continuous learning.
