Scientific Graphic Designer Position

As a Scientific Graphic Designer, you will combine scientific expertise with creative design skills to produce accurate and visually engaging materials. Your work will include scientific illustrations, graphical abstracts, journal cover images, infographics, posters, brochures, and more.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop visually engaging graphical abstracts that succinctly represent the essence of a scientific study.
  • Read and comprehend scientific manuscripts to extract key visual elements and concepts.
  • Develop storyboards that outline the visual narrative, ensuring alignment with the scientific content and objectives.
  • Generate rough sketches to illustrate the initial visual concepts, collaborating closely with researchers, writers, and clients to refine and finalize the visual representation.
  • Review peers' and freelancers' outputs to ensure they meet client expectations and are delivery-ready.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate/PhD degree in STEM fields (especially Biology/Biotechnology/Medicine/Chemistry/Physics/Engineering).
  • 3-5 years of experience in scientific graphic designing, communicating science and complex research into visually engaging output.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop).
  • Creativity and ability to think outside the box while maintaining scientific accuracy.
