Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team in implementing an application for a large retailer. This role requires hands-on coding expertise in Python and Pyspark, as well as strong skills in Telemetry, Big Data, and backend engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementing data processing pipelines using Python and Pyspark.
  • Designing and developing scalable data architectures.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions into the business.
  • Maintaining and optimizing existing data systems.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Expertise in Python, Pyspark, and SQL.
  • Hands-on Python/PySpark coding experience.
  • Strong Big Data experience, GCP preferred.
  • Telemetry experience.
  • Streaming experience with analytics and data processing.
  • Business analytics experience and working directly with business partners to implement feedback.
Desirable Skills:
  • Strong understanding of IoT systems, especially in Refrigeration units, HVAC systems, Controllers, and sensors.
  • Familiarity with equipment and systems from Emerson, Honeywell, or similar.
  • Ability to explain how data flows through IoT units and how sensors are designed and monitored.
