Software Engineer - Kernel Integration Expert

You will play a key role in leading the development and maintenance of Qualcomm's Linux Kernel mainline.

As a Senior Staff Kernel Integration Engineer, you will manage and maintain the complete integration pipeline, driving workflows, automation, and efficiency to deliver high-quality products.

With 12+ years of experience in software engineering, you will possess excellent programming skills, especially in C, and have hands-on experience with scripting, automation, and deployment processes.

Additionally, you will have expertise in embedded S/W and Linux Systems, understanding of OS fundamentals, data structures, and the device driver model.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of build systems, software configuration management using Git, and knowledge of debug tools such as JTAG or other debuggers.

Other responsibilities include collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders, gathering requirements, and working closely with different teams to manage day-to-day work.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • Excellent debugging skills, especially in core kernel software stability domain.
  • Expert level knowledge of C programming language.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting, automation, and deployment processes.
  • Understanding of build systems, software configuration management using Git.
  • Knowledge of debug tools such as JTAG or other debuggers.
