Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Privacy Professional to support our global operations in the US. The ideal candidate will provide strategic guidance on privacy and data protection matters, including AI governance, with a focus on U.S. laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide expert advice on a broad spectrum of privacy and data protection issues, including student data privacy, relevant U.S. federal and state laws, international laws, compliance obligations, AI, and data privacy in contracts.
  2. Support the development and implementation of our global data protection and privacy program in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  3. Partner with stakeholders to provide subject matter expertise, advice, and training related to data protection legal and compliance obligations.
  4. Assist with and monitor compliance with our data protection and privacy policies, processes, and procedures.
  5. Raise awareness and help create effective training and guidance to promote best practices and drive a data protection and privacy-oriented culture.
  6. Support data governance and compliance efforts, such as preparing and overseeing Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Data Sharing Agreements (DSAs), and other data protection and privacy compliance documentation.
  7. Provide expert advice on AI governance and compliance efforts in accordance with relevant regulations and best practices.
  8. Advise on appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect and safeguard personal data, with a focus on student data.
  9. Support customer conversations as they relate to data protection, privacy, and AI, and assist with vendor contract diligence.
