Key Responsibilities:

  • As a system architect, you will join our team to help evolve our systems into best-in-class solutions for the e-commerce space, engaging with the product and engineering team to design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable systems.
  • Collaborate with development teams to influence the design and architecture of our cloud-native platforms, maintaining critical legacy tools while considering aspects such as fault tolerance, availability, and performance.
  • Work with software engineers and platform engineers to optimize and develop repeatable systems that leverage each other's strengths.
  • Provide production support and creatively solve challenging engineering problems across our stack, even after implementing self-healing and automation measures.
  • Participate in a shared on-call schedule managed across Engineering.
  • Automate repetitive tasks to increase efficiency and reduce human error.
  • Mentor new hires and other engineers by example, tech talks, paired programming, and other avenues to increase technical efficiency across the organization.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in designing and developing scalable cloud-native systems
  • Strong understanding of SRE best practices, cloud-native design principles, and legacy maintenance
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to mentor and lead junior engineers
  • Experience with DevOps tools and automation frameworks
