Data Architect Role

As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data pipelines to support business growth. Your expertise in data migration and modernization will be instrumental in leading the team to migrate data pipelines, models, and workloads.

The role involves evaluating and recommending tools and frameworks for migration, including file formats, ingestion tools, and orchestration. You will also design and build robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, and orchestration tools.

You will support both batch and streaming pipelines, with real-time processing via rudderstack or Spark Structured Streaming. Additionally, you will build modular, reusable, and testable pipeline components that handle high volume and ensure data integrity.

Your skills in data modeling strategies (star, snowflake, normalization/denormalization) for analytics and BI layers will be valuable assets to the team. You will also implement strategies for data versioning, late-arriving data, and slowly changing dimensions.

In this role, you will contribute to data governance initiatives including metadata tracking, data lineage, and access control. You will work closely with the team to identify areas of improvement and develop solutions to optimize data pipelines and improve overall data quality.

We are looking for someone who is proficient in building streaming pipelines with tools like Kafka, rudderstack, and has a deep understanding of data modeling, partitioning, indexing, and query optimization.

A strong command of Python, SQL, and experience working with dbt models are essential skills for this role. Additionally, you should have hands-on experience with modern data platforms like PostgreSQL, Redshift, and Apache Airflow for ETL orchestration.

Experience in designing data validation frameworks and implementing DQ rules is also desirable. Familiarity with reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI, and knowledge of the financial domain, preferably loans, is a plus.

Please note that this job requires 10+ years of experience in data engineering roles with increasing responsibility.
