- Key Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly review weekly, fortnightly, or monthly timesheets for accuracy, verifying hours worked, leave taken, and overtime compliance with internal policies and client requirements.
- Manage the payroll department's mailbox by responding to queries, organizing incoming documents, and maintaining an efficient communication flow.
- Double-check data entries for inconsistencies or errors, identifying discrepancies and ensuring all payroll data is accurate before processing.
- Maintain flawless records by accurately saving timesheets and updating Excel trackers, cross-verifying data for completeness and organization.
- Identify special payroll instructions, such as adjustments, bonuses, or deductions, to ensure correct application during processing.
- Assist in preparing supporting documentation for client invoices, providing necessary timesheet and payroll data for billing purposes.
- Update and maintain payroll records, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and stored securely for future reference and audits.
Requirements:
- Experience: 1-2 years in payroll processing or a similar corporate role, with a solid understanding of payroll cycles and administrative processes.
- Analytical Skills: Analyze data, identify inconsistencies, and resolve issues efficiently, utilizing strong problem-solving skills to handle payroll discrepancies.
- Attention to Detail: Be meticulous in reviewing data, spotting errors, and ensuring all records are accurate and compliant with regulations.
- Communication: Possess strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, responding to queries, and documenting processes clearly and professionally.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data validation; familiarity with payroll software or ERP systems is advantageous.
