Role Overview

The Legal Officer is a vital position that involves providing expert legal counsel, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, managing litigation, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and advising on policy development to protect the organization's interests.

  • Provide timely and accurate legal advice on various matters to senior management and stakeholders while ensuring the organization adheres to all relevant laws and regulations.

Job Description

The Legal Officer will be responsible for maintaining legal integrity within the organization by handling legal disputes, coordinating with external legal advisors, and contributing to the formulation of internal policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in law (LLM) from a recognized institution with Bar Council of India registration.

Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of six years of experience as an advocate or working in the legal department of an organization preferably in the education sector demonstrating hands-on application of legal knowledge.
  • Possesses strong analytical, negotiation, and drafting skills, along with excellent oral and written communication abilities. Knowledge of Telugu is a must.

Key Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in law (LLB or LLM) from a recognized institution with Bar Council of India registration. A minimum of six years of experience as an advocate or working in the legal department of an organization preferably in the education sector is required.
