We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to handle various accounting tasks. This role involves working with clients across different regions, gaining extensive experience in financial practices and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records using Excel and cloud-based accounting software.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws (GST/ HST / PST, corporate tax, payroll taxes) in collaboration with senior advisors.
- Assemble working paper packages for financial statements.
- Onboard clients, ensuring a smooth transition into our systems and processes.
- Conduct data entry tasks as needed.
- Prepare corporate tax returns and related documentation. Strong grasp of accounting standards (IFRS/ASPE/GAAP), taxation, and compliance.
- Oversee payroll tasks, including client onboarding, payroll processing, etc.
- Communicate with clients via email and phone to gather necessary information and clarify details. Communicate with clients professionally and clearly.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to handle multiple clients and work pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Good understanding of the Canadian and American accent is essential for this position.
