Medical Transcription Specialist

A highly skilled Medical Transcription Specialist is needed to accurately capture voice recordings made by healthcare professionals and transform them into detailed, written medical reports.

  • Transcription of Medical Dictations: Carefully listen to audio instructions of medical notes, consultations, discharge summaries, operative reports, etc., and type them into clear, accurate reports.
  • Edit & Proofread: Review and correct grammar, spelling, and medical terminology errors in the transcribed reports, ensuring maximum clarity and precision.
  • Maintain Medical Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with anatomy, physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments to provide accurate transcription services.
  • Confidentiality: Handle patient records with strict confidentiality as per healthcare data protection guidelines.
  • Technical Skills: Work proficiently with transcription software, speech recognition tools, and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Document Formatting: Ensure documents meet hospital/clinic formatting and style requirements for seamless integration.
  • Collaboration: Effectively communicate with doctors or healthcare providers for clarification when needed.
  • Timely Delivery: Produce error-free reports within strict deadlines, prioritizing accuracy and quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Exceptional listening skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and abbreviations.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills.
  • Excellent grammar, punctuation, and editing ability.
  • Knowledge of healthcare documentation standards.
  • Familiarity with medical transcription software & EHR systems.
  • Ability to work independently with high concentration.

Qualifications

Any Graduate
Specialized Medical Transcription training/certification is highly preferred.
