As an Endpoint Security Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding organizations against cyber threats.

Your primary focus will be on developing and enforcing robust security policies, configuring advanced EDR platforms, and staying up-to-date with the latest trends in endpoint security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain cutting-edge Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platforms to ensure seamless threat detection.
  • Create and deploy EDR agent packages using centralized solutions like SCCM to enhance endpoint protection.
  • Develop and enforce comprehensive security policies and procedures for endpoint protection to mitigate potential risks.
  • Ensure all endpoints are current with the latest security patches and software updates to prevent vulnerabilities.
  • Configure EDR policies to align with organizational security requirements and optimize threat detection capabilities.
  • Customize detection rules to enhance threat detection and minimize false positives.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the status of endpoint security to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on best practices for endpoint security to foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness.
  • Raise awareness about emerging threats and provide actionable advice on how to avoid them to minimize risk.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in endpoint security to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Evaluate and recommend new EDR tools and technologies to stay ahead of evolving threats.
  • Participate in threat intelligence sharing to enhance the organization's security posture and stay vigilant against emerging threats.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of EDR solutions with existing infrastructure and minimize disruptions.
  • Troubleshoot any agent-related issues alongside IT team members to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Work closely with the Security Operations Center (SOC) and other security teams to improve overall threat detection and response capabilities.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary logs and reports within agreed timelines.
  • Closely monitor identified vulnerabilities and address them within defined deadlines.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to manage and optimize EDR solutions to maximize their effectiveness.
  • Document Agent installation SOPs for various operating systems to facilitate smooth manual installations by IT teams.
  • Maintain a knowledge base capturing known issues and solutions to facilitate troubleshooting and knowledge sharing.
