Position: Java/Sr. Java Backend Developer

Location: Remote

Experience Required: 6-8 years

Only immediate joiners preferred

Technical Skills

  • 6-8 years of professional experience.
  • Developing microservices and cloud native apps using Java, REST APIs, Spring Core, Spring Boot Framework, MVC and WebFlux, Spring Security, and similar tech stacks.
  • Messaging framework - Kafka
  • Unit testing using Junit, Mockito, and JBehave.
  • Build and deploy services using Gradle, Maven, Jenkins.
  • Relational Database (Oracle, PostgreSQL).

Soft skills

  • Designing, developing, and implementing custom software capabilities with limited oversight.
  • Excellent communication skills – design-related conversations, ability to build good relationships and foster collaboration.
  • Supporting teammates and collaborating to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in developing elegant code as part of a team of engineers.
  • Ensure quality practices – unit testing, code reviews / leading tests.
  • Optimize the application for non-functional requirements.
  • Build and deploy components as part of CI/CD process.
  • End-to-end application delivery including coordination with required teams for production deployment.
  • Monitor application health and KPIs, support triage of any production issues.
  • Troubleshoot complex data, features, service and platform issues.
  • Advocate of security best practices, champion and support the importance of security within engineering.
