Job Summary


The Finance Technology Fixed Assets and Project Accounting team is currently seeking an experienced Oracle e-Business Suite engineer to play a key role in designing, implementing, and extending applications used in Amazon. This position will be responsible for leading the technical design, configuration, and support of applications with a primary focus on the global deployment of applications within the e-Business suite. The selected candidate will be responsible for gathering and defining requirements, configuration of standard applications, gap analysis, technical design of application extensions, and coding and deployment. In addition, end-user support for multiple modules in multiple geographies will be a critical aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities
• Strong functional and technical knowledge of Oracle e-Business suite in a multi-organization and multi-set of books environment is required.
• Two years of experience working with Oracle Financials, with a focus on extending and/or supporting General Ledger, Procurement, Payables, Fixed Assets, or Project Accounting, is necessary.
• Strong technical knowledge of the underlying tables, integration points, and technology processes are critical to success in this role.
• Ability to work with limited general supervision is essential.
• Must have very strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications with an emphasis toward highly available and scalable global solutions.
• Ability to collaborate with a diverse set of business customers and drive consensus when conflicting requirements are identified is critical.
• Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively organize and communicate across functional and technical lines are essential.
• Root cause analysis and complex problem-solving skills are important.
