IoT Application Engineer Role

The role of an IoT application engineer is pivotal in developing industry-leading automotive technologies. As part of a dynamic environment, you will contribute to shaping the future of mobility by creating innovative software solutions.

This position offers exciting and varied responsibilities, providing opportunities for growth and professional development. With a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including embedded software engineers, mobile developers, DevOps, and quality assurance professionals.

  • Develop and test IoT microservices to support APIs, MQTT topics, and business logic.
  • Design and implement data structures to support telemetry, usage, and business data.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance for Cloud solutions to product, firmware, and mobile teams.
  • Optimize microservices to be cost-effective and fast.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to design and implement software components related to IoT connected products.
  • Evaluate security best practices to identify and recommend appropriate solutions for connected products.
  • Responsible for software architecture, design, and implementation of software components related to our IoT connected products.
  • Develop efficient and compact software to balance tradeoffs spanning the cloud, device firmware, connected apps, and other backend systems.

This position requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience. Approximately 5-8 years of experience building microservices, a strong software engineering background with progressively increased responsibility, and architecting and developing components or features are also required.
