About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Automation Specialist to join our team.

As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for designing and developing efficient automated test scripts using Selenium/Cypress and Java/Python/C#/JavaScript. You will also collaborate with software development teams to understand project requirements and develop appropriate automation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Automated Test Scripts: Design and develop efficient, scalable, and maintainable automated test scripts using Selenium/Cypress and Java/Python/C#/JavaScript.
  • Collaborate with Development Teams: Collaborate with software development teams to understand project requirements and develop appropriate automation strategies.
  • Conduct Thorough Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of software applications and identify areas for automation.
  • Execute Automated Tests: Execute automated tests to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and Debug: Troubleshoot and debug test failures and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Implement CI/CD Pipelines: Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven Work Experience: 2 to 6 years of proven work experience as an Automation Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Selenium/Cypress: Strong proficiency in Selenium WebDriver/Cypress and Java/Python/C#/JavaScript programming.
  • In-Depth Understanding of Testing Methodologies: In-depth understanding of software testing methodologies, principles, and practices.
  • Solid Knowledge of Test Automation Frameworks: Solid knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Version Control Systems: Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD Processes: Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science: B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, MCA or related field.
  • Knowledge of Web Technologies: Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum Development Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Certifications related to Software Testing and Test Automation: Certifications related to software testing and test automation.
