About the Role

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will play a pivotal part in shaping our cloud infrastructure and ensuring its security, scalability, and efficiency. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our cloud environment using AWS technologies.

This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, combined with a deep understanding of cloud technologies, architecture principles, and best practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to promote higher uptimes, better user experiences, and develop future improvements to our cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve AWS service issues across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Manage AWS services, working with internal service groups as required to ensure system availability meets project requirements.
  • Design, build, and deploy cloud solutions using various cloud services and platforms (AWS).
  • Provide guidance and technical expertise on cloud adoption, migration, and optimization.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, AWS SysOps Administrator Certification, or equivalent AWS Cloud Engineering/Architecture experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in AWS administration, including API Gateway, S3, ECS, EKS, Fargate, EC2, Lambda, WAF, and CloudTrail.
  • Experience deploying Infrastructure as Code using tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including routing, switching, firewalls, and more.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and root cause-analysis skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in driving technical problems to resolution.
Working Environment

This role requires that you can work in an environment where you will consistently be seated for the majority of the workday. You will also need to observe a computer screen for long periods of time and interact with colleagues through email and instant messaging.
