Senior Data Security Architect

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Security Architect to join our team at Borneo.io. This is a key role in shaping the technical strategy and architecture of our data discovery and compliance automation platform.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and sustain backend services with the primary goal of enabling secure and efficient querying of various cloud services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust security frameworks and controls tailored to protect data used in training and querying Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Ensure the services are optimized for fast, efficient querying across different cloud services, focusing on aspects such as query performance, data integration, and user concurrency.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to oversee the development of testing frameworks that validate the functionality, reliability, and scalability of the platform.
- Innovate and conceptualize new features and functionalities that enhance user experience and extend the platform's capabilities.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of the platform's architecture and design decisions for both internal use and external publication.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field with 6+ years of experience in a hands-on coding role.
- Strong development skills, including proficiency in TypeScript.
- Proven track record in designing scalable and secure software architectures.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey compliance requirements to non-technical teams.
- Proactive, independent worker capable of taking initiative in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Deep understanding of SQL and experience integrating against SQL backends (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Working knowledge of workflow management and orchestration frameworks.
