Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, and VSAM.
  • Perform system testing (SIT), functional testing, and regression testing for mainframe applications.
  • Create, run, and execute JCLs, validate job statuses in spool, and troubleshoot JCL errors.
  • Write and execute complex SQL queries for mainframe database validation.
  • Conduct API testing using tools like Postman/Insomnia and integrate automation using TOSCA or similar tools.
  • Track and monitor defects, execute test cases, and generate test reports and metrics.
  • Collaborate with BAs, Business Users, and Scrum Teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and assist business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Implement automation testing using TOSCA or Selenium (preferred).
  • Ensure compliance with organization-wide testing and development guidelines.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Mainframe Development & Testing (COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, VSAM)
  • API Testing (Postman, Insomnia)
  • Automation Testing (TOSCA good to have)

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

  • Performance Testing (JMeter)
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and test automation
