Job Title: Database Administrator

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our database initiatives. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing databases to support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design database schemas to meet business requirements
  • Develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and functions
  • Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Maintain data integrity and security
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure database compatibility and scalability

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in database engineering, administration, and support
  • 4+ years of experience specifically in MySQL databases
  • Expertise in SQL, including experience with new frameworks, deployment, maintenance, and performance tuning of clusters
  • Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL landscape and available frameworks
  • Strong Linux and network maintenance skills
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages, including Perl, Python, and Shell
  • Strong SQL skills and experience

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Proficiency with Elastic and Redis
