Job Title: Data Engineering Expertise
Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced data engineer to design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines using Apache Spark, Databricks, or equivalent big-data frameworks.
Key Responsibilities• Design and develop complex data pipelines to process and transform large datasets• Develop expertise in streaming and messaging systems such as Apache Kafka (publish subscribe architecture), Confluent Cloud, RabbitMQ or Azure Event Hub• Capture change events from relational databases using Debezium or native CDC tools and transform them for downstream consumption• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala or Java and solid knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and transformation• Experience with cloud platforms including Azure or AWS services for data storage, compute and orchestration• Develop data modelling and warehousing skills including knowledge of data Lakehouse architectures, Delta Lake, partitioning strategies and performance optimisation• Familiarity with version control and DevOps practices including Git and CI/CD pipelines
Requirements
  • 5–8 years of experience designing and building data pipelines
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages including Python, Scala, and Java
  • Deep understanding of relational databases and change data capture
  • Experience with cloud platforms and data storage solutions
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and version control
