Android Application Developer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Android application developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications. As an integral part of our cross-functional team, you will collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver top-notch Android apps that meet the highest standards of performance, quality, and responsiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build advanced Android applications using Kotlin/Java.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Work with external data sources and APIs, such as RESTful APIs and JSON.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Troubleshoot and fix bugs, optimize application performance, and improve app usability.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices.
  • Test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends, libraries, and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior team members (if applicable).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as an Android developer (minimum [X] years) with a portfolio of released applications in the Google Play Store.
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.
  • Familiarity with Android SDK, Android Studio, and other development tools.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Android architecture components such as ViewModel, LiveData, and Room Database.
  • Experience with mobile databases and offline storage (e.g., SQLite, Room).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
