Overview

Code-Mantra is seeking a seasoned Backend Developer to design, develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Spring Boot and Java.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java (Java 8+ preferred) and hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework. Proficiency in REST API design principles and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) is essential.

Beyond technical skills, the candidate should be familiar with agile development processes, Git, branching strategies and microservices architecture.

We are looking for a developer who can collaborate effectively with frontend developers, DevOps and product teams to deliver high-quality features.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop and maintain scalable, secure and high-performance backend services and APIs using Spring Boot and Java.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps and product teams to deliver high-quality features.
  • Implement microservices architecture and ensure service reliability and scalability.
  • Work with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and write efficient, optimized queries.
  • Integrate with external APIs and third-party services.
  • Ensure application security, data protection and compliance with best practices.
  • Write unit and integration tests for backend services.
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging and performance optimization.
  • Deploy and monitor applications in different environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3–6 years of professional backend development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8+ preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework (Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Spring MVC).
  • Strong understanding of REST API design principles.
  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORMs (Hibernate/JPA).
  • Familiarity with Git, branching strategies and agile development processes.
  • Knowledge of Microservices and Containerization and Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Understanding of application security best practices (JWT, OAuth2, etc.).

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with Microservices, Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Understanding of caching (Redis, Hazelcast).
