Job Title: Interior Cockpit Engineer

The Interior Cockpit Engineer is responsible for leading the development and integration of cockpit console commodities and interior trims. This includes project management, engineering design, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To establish and run regular engineering meetings to ensure cross-functional representation and input.
  • To ensure that design concepts mature from idea generation to sign-off.
  • To maintain a collaborative approach aligned to vehicle program goals.
  • To ensure that systems, sub-systems, and components comply with regulatory requirements.
  • To define targets to meet function, quality, and attribute requirements.
  • To develop and maintain validation plans, including in-house testing and supplier collaboration.
  • To lead activities to prevent failures and resolve packaging incompatibilities.
  • To manage suppliers to ensure timely delivery of system/components.
  • To support purchasing teams in sourcing and RFQ activities.
  • To ensure effective application of APQP to manage system/component delivery.
  • To deliver company strategies and goals.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, or Automotive Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of experience in right-first-time development and integration of cockpit console commodities and interior trims.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and communicate effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Familiarity with engineering tools like FMEA, Agile, and Scrum.
