Job Opening for Skilled Mechanical Technician

The role of a skilled mechanical technician is vital in maintaining the operational integrity and efficiency of plant machinery and fabricated structures. As a highly skilled professional, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical components, machinery, and equipment according to technical drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assembly & Installation:
    • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to understand assembly requirements.
    • Assemble and fit mechanical parts, components, and sub-assemblies accurately.
    • Install new machinery, equipment, and structural components following safety protocols and installation guides.
  • Maintenance & Repair:
    • Perform routine preventive maintenance on existing equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
    • Inspect machinery and equipment to identify malfunctions, wear and tear, or potential defects.
    • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs, component replacements, or adjustments.
  • Fabrication Support (as applicable):
    • Assist in the fabrication of metal structures and components by cutting, shaping, and preparing materials for welding or assembly.
  • Quality Control:
    • Conduct in-process and final inspections of assembled or repaired parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet specified dimensions and quality standards.
  • Safety & Housekeeping:
    • Avoid all hazards and risks associated with the job, adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area around machinery and equipment.
  • Collaboration & Documentation:
    • Collaborate effectively with supervisors, engineers, welders, and other team members to ensure smooth operations and project completion.
    • Document maintenance and repair activities, filling out check sheets and maintaining accurate records of work performed.
