PCB Design Engineer Opportunity

As a PCB design engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and validation of printed circuit board libraries. You will be responsible for schematic capture, ensuring design correctness, and executing component placement while considering electrical, DFA, and DFM constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Validate PCB Libraries: Develop and validate PCB libraries in line with organizational standards.
  • Schematic Capture and Design Correctness: Perform schematic capture and ensure design correctness.
  • Component Placement: Execute component placement considering electrical, DFA, and DFM constraints.
  • Power Delivery: Develop power split plans and ensure robust design for power delivery.
  • PCB Routing: Carry out PCB routing with controlled impedance and length-tuning as required.
  • Post-Gerber Process: Handle the complete post-Gerber process with fabrication and assembly readiness.
  • Layer Stack-Ups: Define and calculate layer stack-ups for various board designs.
  • HDI Technologies: Work with HDI technologies, including blind/buried vias and high-speed peripherals.
  • DFX and Validation: Apply DFX guidelines during design and carry out validation reviews.
  • Signal Integrity/Power Integrity: Ensure compliance with SI/PI requirements through analysis and validation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve design robustness and reliability

Required Skills & Experience:
  • PCB Design Tools: Hands-on experience with leading PCB design tools (e.g., Allegro, Altium, Mentor Graphics).
  • Constraints Setting & Routing: Strong knowledge of constraints setting, routing, and post-layout checks.
  • Signal Integrity/Power Integrity: Experience with signal integrity and power integrity validation methodologies.
  • Multi-Layer PCB Stack-Up: Proven expertise in multi-layer PCB stack-up design and materials selection.
  • HDI Techniques: Familiarity with HDI techniques, blind/buried vias, and high-speed interfaces.
  • Design Considerations: Good understanding of DFM, DFA, and DFT considerations in PCB design.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
