Job Summary

Web Development Team Lead Job Description:

This is a senior-level leadership position responsible for managing a team of web developers and overseeing the delivery of high-quality web applications and websites.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in both frontend and backend development, as well as excellent project management and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will be able to lead a multi-disciplinary team and work closely with designers, product owners, and other stakeholders to deliver projects that meet client requirements and expectations.

  • Manage a team of web developers and oversee the delivery of web applications and websites
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Liaise with clients, designers, and product owners to ensure project success
  • Oversee code reviews, quality assurance, and testing
  • Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices and industry trends

Tech Stack & Tools

  • Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Next.js
  • Backend: Node.js / PHP / Python (any), APIs, REST/GraphQL
  • CMS: WordPress (with custom theme/plugin dev), Headless CMS (optional)
  • eCommerce: Shopify, WooCommerce
  • DevOps: Git, GitHub/GitLab, Vercel/Netlify, cPanel, Docker (optional)
  • Other: Figma, Postman, Webflow (good-to-have), Firebase, etc.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in web development, with 1–2 years in a leadership or project management role
  • Hands-on expertise in both frontend and backend (or strong full-stack)
  • Strong project management, task prioritization, and delivery focus
  • Ability to manage clients, clarify requirements, and propose solutions
