Image Processing Specialist

Transformative Role in Optical Sensor Image Analysis

Job Description:

The successful candidate will collaborate with esteemed experts in Earth Observation to develop and optimize image processing algorithms for real-time analysis.

This position involves close collaboration with ex-ISRO scientists and global space industry experts to create high-performance image processing pipelines.

The ideal candidate will work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and GIS specialists to design and implement efficient image processing workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize algorithms for key image processing stages, including radiometric correction, geometric correction, atmospheric correction, image enhancement, mosaicking, and orthorectification.
  • Apply cutting-edge techniques such as deep learning, object detection, and spectral analysis to extract meaningful insights from optical imagery (e.g., DEM/DSM, change detection).
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality image products through quality assurance practices.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in image processing and computer vision.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C++.
  • Strong understanding of spatial data structures and algorithms.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
  • Familiarity with deep learning frameworks and libraries.
  • Experience working with satellite optical sensors and their applications.
