Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Modeler to join our team.

Job Role and Responsibilities:

Develop and analyze comprehensive financial models in MS-Excel, focusing on historical data analysis and forecasting.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, and financial ratios.

Key responsibilities include identifying key performance indicators (KPIs), emerging trends, industry updates, competitive environments, associated risks, and relevant valuation metrics to provide an insightful overview and investment thesis on companies under coverage.

A deep understanding of financial projections based on financial statements, management briefings, company budgets, and estimates is essential.

The successful candidate will be able to normalize financial statements, create various scenarios, such as management cases, sponsor cases, upside, and downside cases, among others.

A strong grasp of debt classes and financing options used by borrowers for deals is necessary.

They will prepare liquidation-based recovery analyses for various debt pieces using recovery values for each asset type.

Extensive company valuations involving approaches such as discounted cash flow (DCF), dividend discount model (DDM), trading and transaction multiples, and economic value added (EVA) will also be required.

Additionally, the candidate will prepare company profiles, analytical reports/decks, earnings and flash notes, quarterly updates, coverage, sector, and theme-based reports, newsletters, technology primers, and handle ad hoc research requests.

Qualifications:

Candidates with a CA/CFA designation, cleared all 3 levels, and relevant 4–6 years of experience in financial modeling, LBO models, DCF/relative valuations are preferred.

Strong accounting, financial analysis skills, English writing skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel, is necessary.

Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to identify and solve issues effectively within deadlines, and a proactive approach to work are desirable.
