A procurement specialist plays a pivotal role in driving business success by securing the best possible deals with suppliers. This position requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to think strategically about sourcing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the most favorable terms for the company.
  • Collaborate with the Group Head of Sourcing to identify new suppliers and optimize existing contracts.
  • Develop a comprehensive sourcing strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Source high-quality raw materials for production, ensuring they meet the required specifications.
  • Review previous material usage and identify areas for improvement in quality and design.
  • Research required materials and source the best suppliers to deliver them efficiently.
  • Negotiate cost and terms to ensure the company achieves its objectives.
  • Analyze product data to forecast material demand and plan accordingly.
  • Manage budgets and foster strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Regularly visit overseas factories to maintain clear communication lines and ensure timely deliveries.

Besides the core responsibilities mentioned above, this role also involves:

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Maintaining accurate records of supplier performance and contract details.
  • Providing regular updates to stakeholders on sourcing progress and achievements.
