Steel Detailer & Procurement Specialist

Location: Remote

We are seeking a skilled Steel Detailer & Procurement Specialist to support our operations.

This role will focus on detailing and reviewing drawings, preparing bills of materials, and managing procurement needs for our projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting architectural and structural drawings, producing accurate shop drawings and bills of materials, and collaborating with the project team to ensure drawings are clear, accurate, and coordinated with other trades.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret architectural and structural drawings to produce accurate shop drawings and bills of materials.
  • Use detailing software (Tekla Structures, AutoCAD/Advance Steel, or similar) to model and detail steel components including stairs, railings, embeds, and structural steel.
  • Generate and organize CNC files, bolt lists, BOM and fabrication-ready documentation.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure drawings are clear, accurate, and coordinated with other trades.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Software Proficiency: Tekla Structures or AutoCAD/Advance Steel (required).
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu and Excel (required). Familiarity with Revit or Tekla EPM (FabSuite) a plus.
  • Strong understanding of structural and architectural steel fabrication.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural drawings.
  • Experience preparing takeoffs and bills of materials from shop drawings.
  • Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
