Senior Java Developer Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains, tests, and integrates application components to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Provides technical guidance and recommendations on the development of new code or reuse of existing code.
  • Ensures system improvements are successfully implemented and meet business requirements.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of financial systems and the financial services industry.
  • Analyzes business requirements and translates them into product designs.
  • Writes technical specifications and other forms of documentation.
  • Suggests technical alternatives and improves/streamlines processes and systems.

Requirements:

  • 7-11 years of experience in IT with a strong background in Java 8, Spring Boot, Angular 18, TypeScript, JavaScript, REST Service, Struts, JSP, Servlet.
  • Hands-on experience in Build tool - SVN, Jira, and Bit Bucket.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of FIS products and services.
  • Knowledge of the business goals, objectives, and business operations for the appropriate FIS organization.
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry.
