About the Role

Fulcrum Digital, an agile and next-generation digital accelerating company, is seeking a seasoned Sr Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our digital transformation team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing robust LANs, WANs, and wireless networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and deploy local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks.
  • Implement and maintain network hardware, including switches, routers, firewalls, access points, and other networking devices.
  • Monitor network performance and ensure optimal utilization of network resources.
  • Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions to accommodate the company's growing needs.

Network Security:

  • Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls.
  • Conduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
  • Respond to security incidents and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks and prevent unauthorized access.

Network Troubleshooting and Support:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues reported by end-users or detected through monitoring tools.
  • Collaborate with the IT support team to provide timely resolution to network-related user problems.
  • Perform root cause analysis for complex network problems and implement permanent solutions.

Network Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Monitor network performance, traffic, and usage patterns to proactively identify and address potential bottlenecks or performance issues.
  • Optimize network configurations to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Implement Quality of Service (QoS) mechanisms to prioritize critical applications and services.

Requirements:

  • Relevant certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network, are desirable.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level networks.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLAN, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and SNMP.
  • Familiarity with network security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
