About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our engineering team. Our mission is to create a global-scale education platform that empowers learners worldwide.

Job Overview

This role involves taking end-to-end ownership of features, solving challenges across scalability, system design, performance optimization, and integrations. You will work closely with the leadership and product team to build a scalable and efficient backend system.

Responsibilities
  • API Development: Design and develop scalable APIs and microservices using Node.js (or equivalent frameworks).
  • System Optimization: Optimize backend systems for performance, security, and reliability.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to deliver seamless features.
  • Architecture: Contribute to architectural decisions, system design, and technology stack choices.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Monitoring: Monitor, debug, and continuously improve backend systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Professional Experience: 2+ years of professional backend development experience.
  • Programming Skills: Strong proficiency with Node.js, Express.js, or similar frameworks.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of web application architecture, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and caching strategies.
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex problems and design scalable, efficient solutions.
