The Opportunity

Nutanix's Developer Productivity team is responsible for empowering our developers to excel in their roles. We oversee and maintain build systems in Nutanix's data center and AWS, providing comprehensive build and test environments and related services.

About the Team

You'll report to the Senior Manager, Engineering, who will provide guidance and support as you navigate your role within the team. Nutanix offers a hybrid work setup, allowing employees to work remotely for 2–3 days a week. This flexibility enables our team members to maintain a healthy work-life balance while still collaborating effectively with colleagues.

As for travel requirements, there are none for this position. You can focus on your work without the added pressure of frequent travel. Our goal is to provide a conducive work environment that supports your professional growth and development.

Your Role

  • Design and develop applications, tools, and cloud-based services for efficient engineering operations.
  • Design and develop high-quality UI, REST APIs for highly scalable, available, and robust services.
  • Be a service owner, responsible for the deployment and maintenance of our services. Participate in on-call rotations for our services.
  • Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to transfer requirements into high-quality and timely deliverables.

What You Will Bring

  • 4–13 years of strong programming skills (such as Python, Go, Java, and JavaScript).
  • Experience with building and running full-stack, large-scale, distributed, highly available, and fault-tolerant applications.
  • Good understanding of containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Detailed-oriented with a strong focus on code simplicity and performance.
  • Enjoy collaborating with other engineers and solving difficult problems.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field required.
