About the Role

As a Signal Integrity Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing and developing high-profile devices that meet stringent performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to explore new hardware designs that improve our devices' functionality and reliability.
  • You will be responsible for signal integrity aspects, ensuring compliance and interoperability of package substrate, PCB, Cable solutions, and system-level SI for interfaces like PCIe, DDR, Clocks etc.
  • You will contribute to package and platform design guideline development, helping internal and external design teams create robust and efficient designs.
What You Will Deliver
  • You will develop design guidelines for internal and external design teams and provide reference simulation documents for customers.
  • You will perform modeling of package substrate/PCB channels elements in 3D/2D EM simulation tools, identifying potential issues before they become major problems.
  • You will collaborate with silicon designers, platform designers, package designers, electrical validation teams, etc. to ensure interconnect and interface performance requirements are met.
  • You will review and evaluate package and board design, providing expert feedback to drive improvements.
  • You will design power delivery solutions across platform, package, and SOC level, ensuring seamless and efficient power distribution.
  • You will define worst-case currents and voltage drop scenarios, MIM/decoupling allocation, grid choices and analysis, droop control, SOC ESD compliance, On-die droop detectors, usage of on-die delivery solutions like VR, LDO, and Power gates.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering/Computer Science.
  • 6+ years of experience working on validation of ASIC/SoC products.
  • High-speed serial interface analog building blocks, protocol, specifications, and test methods.
  • Familiarity with Simulation tools (ADS, HFSS, PowerSI, PowerDC, Hyperlynx) to execute SI-PI simulations is required.
  • Experience with performing measurement, and correlating measurements to simulations.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation of high-speed interface interconnects/channel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
