Key Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities.

  • Conduct continuous and proactive scanning of the IoT ecosystem to identify emerging technologies and untapped market whitespaces.
  • Develop insightful research and synthesis reports on long-term trends and potential threats to our current business.

Further, you will lead the initial incubation phase for opportunities that pass validation. This includes defining initial product-market fit, building minimal viable products or prototypes, and running pilot programs with early customers.

Additionally, you will build and leverage a network of external contacts to serve as a radar for emerging innovation and potential partnership opportunities.

Lastly, you will clearly and persuasively communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to senior leadership to inform strategic investment decisions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a strong plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in a strategy role such as corporate strategy, venture capital, management consulting, product management, or business development within a technology context.
  • Proven experience in market analysis, new venture development, or managing early-stage innovation projects.
  • Deep understanding of the IoT technology stack, competitive landscape, and key market drivers.
  • Superior analytical and financial modeling skills, with experience building business cases from the ground up.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and ability to thrive in ambiguity, developing structure around poorly defined problems.
  • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Experience taking a new product or business from concept through to launch.
